Work experience placement showed Kiia how apartments are rented out
9th grade student Kiia Anisimaa's work experience placement involved everything from social media to washing machine installation.
Kiia Anisimaa worked at the Oulu office of Joo Kodit for two weeks to find out what renting out apartments is all about. She says she thoroughly enjoyed the experience, though she didn't know what to expect beforehand.
– I just came to try it out. I thought it was going to be a simple job that'd mean sitting in an office with a couple of people. Little did I know how different every day would be.
During her work experience placement, Kiia got to pack welcome bags for new residents, update the key management database, and take part in apartment inspections. She also accompanied Joo Fixer on jobs like installing washing machines and putting up pictures.
– What I liked best was meeting residents and helping them out. I also liked the little office jobs, as all the people there were super nice.
To find out more about how the two weeks went, take a look at our Instagram, where we reposted Kiia's video about her work experience placement. She was happy to have the opportunity to produce content, as she's interested in media studies.
– I'd love to work in media or marketing, and that's what I'm planning on studying after school.
Kiia is keen to say Joo (Finnish for yes) to new experiences and opportunities in the future, too.
– I'll also say Joo whenever I'll have the chance to help others again.
