More Joo homes to be built in Tampere

Pirkanmaa will have more than 1000 Joo Kodit rental apartments in the next few years.

Pohjola Rakennus is building 44 new rental apartments for Asuntoyhtymä in Tampere's Lamminpää neighbourhood. The apartments will complement Joo Kodit's offering in the Tampere region, which already comprises over 700 homes all around Pirkanmaa. In addition to the building project in Lamminpää, many more apartment complexes are also under construction.

The new apartments in Lamminpää will range from 27.7 sqm studios to 82.5 sqm family homes. Residents will enjoy shared outdoor areas and a gym built in the yard annex. A share of the building's electricity will be produced by its own solar panels.

Pohjola Rakennus and Asuntoyhtymä currently have several ongoing projects across Finland. The new apartments in Lamminpää will be completed in autumn 2023.

A tranquil location close to amenities

Lamminpää is a traditional neighbourhood in West Tampere dominated by detached houses. Spacious flowering gardens and parks as well as various walking and running trails are a key part of the area's tranquil charm. Tohlopinranta beach is fantastic for swimming in summer and trail skating in winter.

Local amenities are all close by at Lamminpää. The neighbourhood has a grocery shop, a daycare centre and a school, while large shopping centres can be found in nearby Lielahti.

Frequent public transport connections ensure easy every day commuting. The centre of Tampere eight kilometres away is quick to reach by bus, car or bicycle.
