In the Joo Group's annual review 2024, the Joo team describes what our everyday life has looked like as we have sought the balance of carefree living and great business.
Our year 2024 in short
- By the end of the year, interest rates had clearly begun to fall. Property values had remained stable throughout the year, both generally and within Joo’s portfolio. The rental market was gradually stabilising. By the end of the year, approximately 96% of our apartments were occupied.
- Our investment strategy, small apartments in big cities, is supported by population growth in urban areas and the trend towards smaller household sizes.
- Our property portfolio growth had levelled out. Over the year, 260 new apartments were completed, bringing our total to 7,736.
- The conclusion of 2024 also marked the end of Joo’s first full ”OKR year.” The OKR management model (Objectives and Key Results), which we adopted in 2023, now feels like a natural part of how we plan and, more importantly, implement our work.
- The ongoing emphasis on operational efficiency, meaning constant cost monitoring and optimisation, had begun delivering significant results and shaping our daily work.
- In marketing, we succeeded in focusing on the right things, and the aided awareness of Joo grew from 36% to 46% in 2024.
- Our carbon neutrality roadmap was finalised, and efforts to reduce emissions were well underway. Our carbon footprint has already been significantly reduced.
- We launched a new product, Joo Premium, which are furnished rental apartments designed for companies.
- Resident satisfaction remained strong, with an NPS score of 50. Our employee satisfaction was also excellent.
